Sara Gardner is a vice president and financial advisor with EP Wealth Advisors, LLC, focused on helping people achieve their financial and retirement goals. Sara’s parents were both public school teachers on the Western Slope, they had to balance their limited financial resources between raising Sara and her brother and planning for retirement. Sara married her husband Aaron, who enlisted in the US Air Force. Soon after, she recognized the familiar situation of having to balance tight budgets with important financial goals and wanted to make sure their daughters had a solid leg up on their personal finances. This desire inspired her to first achieve financial literacy for herself and, later, to make it her mission to help others achieve their financial goals, no matter their path in life. For over 22 years now, Sara has been helping families make smart decisions with their finances and offering knowledgeable advice when they encounter new and different financial circumstances, such as being awarded company stock options and dealing with new tax concerns. Sara has a passion for giving back to the communities and families of Colorado. She has taken part in—and served as chair of—pro-bono events with the Financial Planning Association, helps veterans achieve home ownership and their personal financial goals through Operation Homefront and Homes for our Troops, and consults with active-duty, guard and reserve service members pre- and post-deployment to help them get their financial affairs in order. Most recently, Sara joined the Conifer Rotary to help in all the great ways they give back to the community. Member of: FPA, NAPFA, CPAPlus Network, and Mountain Women in Business.
