Financial Advisors

Vice President – West LA, CA

The Vice President supports management functions by providing comprehensive services to existing clients, generate new business and providing leadership and development support to advisor teams

  • Responsible for servicing a set number of clients
  • Responsible for generating business through referral networks, marketing initiatives, COI’s and Client referrals
  • Assist Senior VP and Regional Director with the professional development of wealth advisors
  • Maintain and expand assigned territory in referral network

Wealth Advisor – Lafayette, CA

EP Wealth Advisors, a wealth management firm is seeking a Wealth Advisor for our location in Orange County. Wealth Advisor will involve a variety of client-facing activities in providing comprehensive service to existing clients as well as assisting in developing new business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment, provide excellent service to a defined group of clients and support all business development and client retention activities.
  • Liaise with internal team members including portfolio management, operations and financial planning for client meeting preparation and to monitor workflow associated with servicing clients
  • Assist in preparing proposals and other marketing materials for business development meetings
  • Follow-up on business development leads as required
  • Lead delivery of service including in-person review meetings for assigned group of clients
  • Document client interactions and client related workflows in contact management system

Estate Planner – Torrance, CA

EP Wealth Advisors, a wealth management firm is seeking an attorney with 6 – 10 years experience in estate planning and trust administration for high net worth clients.  This position will involve a variety of client-facing activities providing comprehensive service to existing clients. Estate Planner will be responsible for proactively engaging in firm-wide initiatives developing Estate Planning services and building firm relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment, provide excellent service to a defined group of clients and support all business development and client retention activities
  • Provide advisory services to clients on estate tax planning, wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning, trust tax planning and assist in the preparation of estate documents
  • Meet with clients to draft appropriate documents including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives, advise on estate, gift, GST, charitable, business succession, and income tax matters
  • Collaborate with advisor teams to ensure clients objectives are being met as pertains to the estate planning or charitable needs
  • Review clients existing estate plans to determine if they are achieving their goals
  • Prepare basic estate documents including Generation-skipping and dynasty trust; Irrevocable insurance trusts for clients in primarily California but could also include additional states as strategically determined necessary
  • Identify strategic partners to assist in the preparation advanced estate planning and charitable planning documents (ie. Charitable foundations and trusts; Marital agreements; Business continuation planning; Guardianships/conservatorships; Medicaid/Medicare trust planning)
  • Build and develop estate planning services department
  • Participates in firms marketing initiatives, including client and prospective client seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other activities
  • Coordinate with the financial planning department to help illustrate estate planning concepts in our financial planning software as part of the financial plan delivery
  • Provide advice and assistance with all aspects of trust administration
  • Coordination with the financial planning department on estate planning recommendations that require outside coordination with items such as the following, but not limited to: Life insurance illustrations, Business valuations, Donor advised funds, Buy-sell arrangements and funding, Business entity structure set up, Pre and post-nuptial agreements, and Special needs trusts
  • Follow-up on business development leads as required
  • Document client interactions and client related workflows in client relationship management system
  • Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve the firm’s business development and client retention objectives

Qualifications:

  • Over six years of experience counseling high net worth clients on estate planning. relationship management experience in wealth management;
  • Advanced degree required to meet certification compliant to State Bar of California and certified by an organization accredited by the State Bar
  • Experience in working with ultra-high net worth individuals preferred and experience working with clients in a wealth management setting
  • Proficient knowledge in estate planning tools and working knowledge of state property tax law
  • Excellent listener with the ability to provide problem-solving solutions to client’s wealth management needs

Portfolio Management

Portfolio Manager – Torrance, CA

The Portfolio Manager works closely with Senior Portfolio Managers and advisors to manage investments of client accounts.  Create timelines and schedules for various department related merger activities

  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings
  • Work on model changes and rebalancing for non-Tamarac accounts
  • Recommends non-discretionary accounts
  • Monitor asset allocation of client accounts and conduct rebalancing utilizing trade order management system as necessary
  • Monitor cash levels in client accounts and adjust as necessary
  • Produce periodic reports from trade order management system as necessary
  • Work with compliance to document and report on trading activity

Financial Planning

Financial Planner - Seattle, WA

The Financial Planner works with advisors to create customized and comprehensive financial plans, creating and reviewing spreadsheets, data entry, preparing and conducting seminars for clients, and providing additional support to the Financial Planning Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of customized and comprehensive personal and business financial plans.
  • Collect data for financial planning via client questionnaire, clarify and verify client answers to questions and enter data into financial planning system.
  • Utilize financial planning software to generate financial plans and review with Financial Advisor.
  • Generate specific action plans for clients relative to the specific recommendations made in their financial plan.
  • Create, review and enter data into spreadsheets to analyze specific financial planning and/or business planning issues.
  • Assist advisors in presenting seminars and case studies to our clients, COI’s, and local branches
  • Assist Director in developing monthly training material and quarterly seminars
  • Work with the financial planning team to continually assess existing software the planners use to determine changes and upgrades needed to maximize opportunities with clients and potential clients.
  • Work with Operations and IT department for enhancement of existing software and systems, development of new systems and deployment of both.
  • Work with Marketing department to review and edit written and other material made available to the public.
  • Conduct research as required by the Director of Financial Planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications:

  • CFP Designation required (or working towards) – CPA/PFS can be used in lieu of
  • Knowledge of financial planning software such as: eMoney or Money Guide Pro preferred
  • 5-7 years’ experience in financial services or related field
  • Undergraduate degree required; preferably in business related major
  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management issues

Client Services Support – West LA, CA

The Client Service Support is responsible for assisting the client service team on account administration and sales support duties. This role performs administrative duties that support daily branch operations, including but not limited to, telephone coverage and document maintenance.

  • Support the client service team that works with one or more advisors
  • Collaborate with the operations team, provide assistance and communication on client related tasks
  • Prepare forms for client on-boarding
  • Receive client calls as they pertain to money movement, maintenance, and process with the custodian
  • Maintain electronic client files; enter data and documentation in CRM and client portal(s)

Sr. Client Service Associate - Torrance, CA

The Senior Client Service Associate is the key point of contact for the client. Primarily focused on requests regarding money movement, account maintenance, and advisor support, the role requires decision-making skills and the ability to resolve issues to provide an excellent client experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct the onboarding experience for all new relationships and generally act as concierge for the client to build and establish trust
  • Serve as point person for clients on all paperwork and processes regarding the custodial management of their accounts
  • Receive and address all client communication as it pertains to money movement, maintenance and reporting; direct the request to appropriate Internal Operations for submission to the custodian
  • Using CRM workflows to document all client related activity, and confirms client data
  • Review and oversee the distribution of quarterly statements for their clients
  • Oversee and provide details for any termination of client relationship and internal closure of accounts
  • Collaborate with the advisors on pipeline reporting and prioritization of tasks
  • Assist Client Service Manager on Client Service training activities
