Growing Community Impact: EP Wealth and the American Red Cross

At EP Wealth Advisors, we believe that meaningful relationships are built over time. Whether we're helping clients pursue their long-term financial goals or investing in the communities where we live and work, our commitment is rooted in creating lasting impact.

One example is our ongoing collaboration with the American Red Cross, a relationship that began with a single blood drive in 2023 and has since grown into a broader commitment to volunteerism, charitable giving, and community support. What started as one event has evolved into an ongoing collaboration that reflects our shared commitment to serving others.

Working Together to Support Our Communities

Shared values have helped shape our work with the American Red Cross. Those values include service, community, and creating meaningful opportunities to make a difference.

That commitment comes to life through the EP Giving Tree, our employee-led initiative that encourages team members to give back through three pillars: time, talent, and treasure. Rooted in EP Wealth's core values—integrity, inclusion, connection, and entrepreneurial—the Giving Tree empowers employees to volunteer, share their expertise, and support organizations making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Since 2023, our work with the American Red Cross has continued to evolve, creating opportunities for employees and community members to support blood donation and charitable giving.

Growing Our Community Impact Together

It all began with a simple question: How could EP Wealth create a meaningful opportunity for employees and the local community to give back?

That opportunity came in the form of our first Heart to Heart Blood Drive at our headquarters in Torrance, California.

What began as one local event quickly revealed something larger. Employees wanted to stay involved. Participation continued to grow. New opportunities emerged to support the American Red Cross through company-wide blood donation campaigns, disaster relief efforts, employee giving initiatives, and broader awareness of the organization's mission.

Today, our work with the American Red Cross represents more than a series of annual events. It reflects what can happen when two organizations invest in a long-term relationship built on shared values and a commitment to strengthening the communities they serve.

Our Work with the American Red Cross Through the Years

As our relationship with the American Red Cross has evolved, so have the ways our employees and communities can get involved. Each year has marked another step in making a difference.

Looking Back at Four Years of Community Impact

Over four years, this collaboration has grown from one local blood drive into a firmwide effort that engages employees, family members, friends, clients, and community supporters.

Since 2023:

  • 310 blood donations have been made through EP Wealth blood drives and BloodLink participation.
  • According to the American Red Cross, those donations have the potential to help up to 966 people who require lifesaving blood transfusions.
  • EP Wealth employees supported American Red Cross disaster relief efforts following the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires through employee giving and a company match.
  • In 2026, EP Wealth also contributed more than $31,000 to the American Red Cross through trade correction proceeds.

While these numbers are meaningful, what matters most is the culture of giving they represent. They reflect the willingness of our employees to support neighbors, strengthen communities, and contribute to causes that extend beyond the workplace.

Giving Back Beyond the Blood Drive

Our involvement with the American Red Cross is one example of how EP Wealth employees contribute through the EP Giving Tree.

Across the firm, employees support a variety of initiatives that reflect our commitment to serving others, including:

  • Investing in Women, which provides educational events and resources designed to empower women in making informed financial decisions.
  • Financial Literacy Committee, which delivers pro bono financial education through schools, libraries, and community organizations.
  • Additional employee-led initiatives that leverage our time, talent, and resources to strengthen the communities where we live and work.

Together, these efforts reflect our belief that giving back takes many forms and that every contribution matters.

Charitable Giving as Part of Your Financial Plan

Many individuals and families are passionate about supporting causes that matter to them. Whether through annual giving, donor-advised funds, appreciated securities, charitable trusts, or legacy planning, philanthropy can be an important part of a comprehensive financial plan.

While working with the American Red Cross reflects one way EP Wealth gives back as a firm, we also help clients explore charitable giving strategies that align with their personal values and long-term financial goals.

If charitable giving is an important part of your financial plan, an EP Wealth advisor can help you evaluate strategies that support both your philanthropic objectives and your broader wealth plan.
