EP Wealth Recognized on Financial Times 300 TOP RIA List for Third Consecutive Year

And some thoughts on what financial advice awards mean

We are not in this for the awards. It’s the truth. Nowhere in our mission statement do we talk about winning awards.

So why are we celebrating the Financial Times 300 Top RIAs?

    For us, it’s two reasons.

One, sharing this recognition with our entire team at EP Wealth motivates us to do better work. Recognition fuels our momentum to deliver on our mission of providing honest, objective financial advice to our clients just as we would to our families.

And two, because earning a spot on the FT300 Top RIAs may help an investor become aware of us–someone who needs financial advice.

For those reasons, we’re grateful for Financial Times’ efforts to create this award. The Financial Times’ ranking, which began in 2014, is highly regarded by some within the financial services and RIA industries, assessing financial advisory firms based on their history, size and scope, advisor credentials and compliance records.

As the pandemic persists, our team is continually focused on helping our clients navigate these uncertain times.

We are honored to be regarded as your trusted partner in meeting your goals and protecting your legacy. Thank you for your continued support.

    Methodology

The Financial Times invites RIA companies that meet certain criteria to apply for the award. Information provided is complemented with research conducted by Ignites, a sister company to The Financial Times.

Applicants were graded on six factors: assets under management (AUM); asset growth rate; company history in years; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records.

This year’s survey collected responses from 750 RIA firms.

    Disclosure

Financial Times 300: Top RIAs Ranking is based on information that was submitted and self-reported By EP Wealth Advisors, LLC via a questionnaire. Advisors who wish to be ranked by Financial Times will complete a 30-question questionnaire that assessed, amongst others, assets under management, the firm’s revenue, services, staff and their credentials. The ranking is compiled by Ignites Research, a Financial Times sister company — assesses RIAs with assets under management (AUM) of more than $300 million on their expertise and other credentials desirable to investors. The FT 300 is represented as an elite group segmented by state, rather than a competitive ranking of one to 300. This ranking is not comprehensive of all advisory firms. EP Wealth Advisors, LLC did not pay subscription fees nor was there a requirement to submit a donation or any other form of payment in order to be nominated or selected for this ranking. The third-party ranking displayed should not be construed as an endorsement of the advisor by any client nor is it representative of any one client’s evaluation or opinion of the advisor. Third-party rankings are no guarantee of future investment success. Working with a highly ranked adviser does not ensure that you will experience a higher level of performance.
