Carrie Sax joined EP Wealth Advisors in 2021. She has almost twenty years of industry experience and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, considered one of the highest distinctions in the investment management profession. After more than a decade analyzing stocks and managing investment portfolios, including as Director of Research at Parsec Financial in North Carolina, Carrie earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification in 2017. As a CFP® practitioner, she loves working directly with clients to help them craft personalized financial plans aligned with their goals. Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a master’s degree in education from the University of Florida. Prior to her career in finance, she taught high school science and worked at a local zoo in Tampa. Carrie left the non-profit world “temporarily” in order to save enough money to realize her life-long dream of living in France, which she did in 2008. Although she always thought she would return to education, her financial career blossomed into a surprisingly rich experience that allows her to marry her teaching skills with her love of people and planning. Carrie moved from Asheville, North Carolina to Alameda in 2018 after meeting her husband – a Bay Area native – on a trip to India. When she’s not at work, Carrie enjoys reading, as well as spending time in nature with her husband and their Border Collie. She has a regular yoga and meditation practice and is a certified yoga instructor and life coach, all of which help inform her life and her work with clients.
