Joey Roman joined EP Wealth Advisors as a Wealth Advisory Fellow in 2023, while completing his degree in International Business at California State University Long Beach. Joey finds a career in wealth management appealing because he’s always desired a role that is client-facing, involves advisory responsibilities, and is connected to the financial markets he enjoys following. He sees the field as a unique opportunity to create meaningful relationships with clients over the years by helping them achieve their financial goals. Being an EP Wealth Advisory Fellow will help him accelerate his learning and development and put his skill set to use as he pursues his career objectives. Outside the world of finance, Joey is passionate about weight training, swimming, paddling and Jiu Jitsu. On weekends, he enjoys searching for new hiking trails he can enjoy with his family and friends. While in college, he helped fellow students embark on their own adventures by serving as campus sales coordinator for SWAT (Summer Winter Action Tours). Joey’s parents and three younger siblings all live in Long Beach, CA, so family time is also a big part of his life. A graduate of the city’s Lifeguard Academy, Joey recently paddled from Catalina to Long Beach to raise money for the Crossing for KJ scholarship fund. In past years he has volunteered with the Fire Department’s Toys for Tots program to deliver toys to children in need during the holidays.
