James Koo recently brought his information technology skills to the world of financial services. He joined EP Wealth Advisors in 2021 after completing service in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman on board the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford. Prior to his military service, James supported the IT and technology needs of faculty and staff as a Media and Tech Aid at Northeastern Illinois University while completing his degree in computer and information sciences. Empathetic toward all those who have experienced the frustration of tech failure, James feels driven to provide the best possible computing experience at EP Wealth. He loves the feeling of knowing that at the end of the day he’s helped others with their tech issues. When not dealing with technology professionally, James enjoys 3D printing “the most random things,” as well as roaming the vast aisles of Costco and Ikea with his wife, and cooking different dishes from around the world.
