About Gary
Prior to joining EP, Gary was a Tax Principal with Temo Arjani LLP dealing with high net worth clients, foundations, trusts, estates and charitable planned giving. Other past experiences include Tax Director with PwC, working with ultra-high net worth clients and private companies. He was also an adjunct professor in the School of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles where he taught both upper division and graduate classes in personal and corporate income tax. He started his law career by practicing law with a specialty law firm handling probate administration and litigation; afterwards moving into private practice along with being “of counsel” with various law firms in Los Angles, where he handled tax, probate, wills and trusts matters.Gary earned his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration with Emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School-LMU. He also earned the designation of Personal Financial Specialist from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.Throughout Gary’s career, he found the time to volunteer in both the Los Angeles and Orange County community. He served on many non-profit boards which includes Rotary, YMCA, ABC Unified School District, etc.; served as President of the Asian Business Association of Orange County; legal advisor to a few of the Asian professional associations; Co-chair the California Society of CPAs Estate and Trust Annual conference from 2010 to 2013. Gary with his wife, Angela and daughter, Denise makes their home in Cerritos. In his personal time, he enjoys being an active amateur radio operator.
