EP Wealth Advisors, a wealth management firm is seeking a Wealth Advisor for our location in Orange County. Wealth Advisor will involve a variety of client-facing activities in providing comprehensive service to existing clients as well as assisting in developing new business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment, provide excellent service to a defined group of clients and support all business development and client retention activities.
  • Liaise with internal team members including portfolio management, operations and financial planning for client meeting preparation and to monitor workflow associated with servicing clients

Estate Planner – Open Location

EP Wealth Advisors, a wealth management firm is seeking an attorney with 6 – 10 years experience in estate planning and trust administration for high net worth clients.  This position will involve a variety of client-facing activities providing comprehensive service to existing clients. Estate Planner will be responsible for proactively engaging in firm-wide initiatives developing Estate Planning services and building firm relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment, provide excellent service to a defined group of clients and support all business development and client retention activities
  • Provide advisory services to clients on estate tax planning, wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning, trust tax planning and assist in the preparation of estate documents
  • Meet with clients to draft appropriate documents including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives, advise on estate, gift, GST, charitable, business succession, and income tax matters
  • Collaborate with advisor teams to ensure clients objectives are being met as pertains to the estate planning or charitable needs
  • Review clients existing estate plans to determine if they are achieving their goals
  • Prepare basic estate documents including Generation-skipping and dynasty trust; Irrevocable insurance trusts for clients in primarily California but could also include additional states as strategically determined necessary
  • Identify strategic partners to assist in the preparation advanced estate planning and charitable planning documents (ie. Charitable foundations and trusts; Marital agreements; Business continuation planning; Guardianships/conservatorships; Medicaid/Medicare trust planning)
  • Build and develop estate planning services department
  • Participates in firms marketing initiatives, including client and prospective client seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other activities
  • Coordinate with the financial planning department to help illustrate estate planning concepts in our financial planning software as part of the financial plan delivery
  • Provide advice and assistance with all aspects of trust administration
  • Coordination with the financial planning department on estate planning recommendations that require outside coordination with items such as the following, but not limited to: Life insurance illustrations, Business valuations, Donor advised funds, Buy-sell arrangements and funding, Business entity structure set up, Pre and post-nuptial agreements, and Special needs trusts
  • Follow-up on business development leads as required

Qualifications:

  • Over six years of experience counseling high net worth clients on estate planning. relationship management experience in wealth management;
  • Advanced degree required to meet certification compliant to State Bar of California and certified by an organization accredited by the State Bar

Portfolio Management

Associate Portfolio Manager – Torrance, CA

The Associate Portfolio Manager works closely with Senior Portfolio Managers and Advisors to manage the investments in client accounts.

  • Work closely with Investment Director and other senior members of the team to administer investments in client accounts
  • Work as needed as part of the portfolio management team to support trading and portfolio management functions
  • Monitor asset allocation of client accounts and conduct rebalancing utilizing trade order management system
  • Monitor cash levels in client accounts and adjust as necessary
  • Produce periodic reports from trade order management system

As a member of the EPWA Managers and Directors team, this position is responsible for developing and managing tax services provided to clients such as federal and state tax preparation, tax projections and analysis. This position involves client facing activities providing comprehensive tax services to existing clients, developing new business, and assisting our advisors and financial planning team with strategic tax planning.

  • Participate in internal strategy discussions for clients, collaborate with advisor teams and planning departments to address tax services objectives.

The Client Service Manager supervises, manages, and supports all business functions within the Client Services Department. This position will play a key role in developing and leading a team of relationship specialists that support the sales team and their clients.   • Support the client service team that works with one or more advisors

The M&A Integration Specialist provides administrative support for the firm’s merger and acquisition efforts, including assisting with project management and inter-department communication, meeting deadlines and ensuring a seamless transition of new teams into EPWA.
